It's worth noting that Kevin had a chance to follow in the footsteps of big city lawyers, but chose instead to create his own way. As the youngest Oregon State Bar President ever, Kevin continues his consistent and steady involvement in the profession, serving on boards and lecturing extensively. There's no rest for Kevin at Barton & Strever because his work on each case is integral to its success. Kevin and his wife, Lauri, love to travel, sampling local cuisines which they attempt to re-create in their home kitchen. He describes himself as a "frustrated rock guitarist" and notes that his hair is always either too short or too long for the rock scene. He's produced a CD of his own music and works with others to produce original music of their own. When you think about it, it's a lot like the detailed artistry and advocacy Kevin practices every day through law.
